Supporting Heritage Decisions with Clarity and Care

Navigating heritage requirements can feel complex—whether you’re pursuing development approvals, evaluating cultural significance, planning conservation work, or meeting regulatory obligations.

Peninsula Heritage provides thoughtful, research-driven heritage consulting to help clients move projects forward with confidence. Working across residential, commercial, infrastructure, and public-sector projects, we collaborate with government agencies, developers, community groups, and homeowners to balance preservation, growth, and long-term stewardship of cultural heritage resources.

CHERs are used to evaluate and identify cultural heritage value to support informed planning decisions and determine potential heritage protection requirements. They are often the first step in understanding a property or structure's cultural heritage.

HIAs evaluate how proposed development, alteration, or site changes may affect identified cultural heritage resources. They are used to identify and evaluate potential heritage impacts while developing practical mitigation strategies that support responsible change.

DSPs provide a framework for retention of structural attributes that an approval authority has deemed to be important for salvage, usually for integration into a new development. Generally completed following a CHER and/or Heritage Impact Assessment.

HBPPs protect vulnerable heritage structures through stabilization, maintenance, and risk management planning for security and financials. They are usually completed after a Heritage Impact Assessment.

Why Work With Peninsula Heritage Ltd.

When heritage requirements become part of a project, clients need more than technical reporting — they need clear guidance and practical next steps that respect both historical significance and modern project realities.

Many projects begin because heritage requirements have been triggered through planning, development, or approval processes. Peninsula Heritage approaches every engagement with careful analysis, transparent collaboration, and recommendations designed to address the actual heritage concern.

By combining specialized cultural heritage expertise with responsive service and a practical approach, we help clients navigate requirements with confidence and move projects forward responsibly.
