Peninsula Heritage Ltd. specializes in built and cultural heritage studies and assessments for residential and commercial built structures, bridges and culverts, roadway corridors, and culturally significant places across Ontario.
Founded in 2024, the firm brings together more than 35 years of collective experience conducting cultural heritage and archaeological studies across Ontario. At Peninsula Heritage, we have a strong understanding of municipal requirements and regulatory frameworks for cultural heritage studies for numerous municipalities and regulators.
We believe good heritage advice is practical, evidence-based, and grounded in thorough research. Chris Lemon
Cultural Heritage Consultant | Licensed Archaeologist
Bachelor of Science, Diploma in Heritage, CAHP Member
Chris Lemon is a Cultural Heritage Consultant and Licensed Archaeologist with more than 20 years of experience conducting cultural heritage and archaeological studies throughout Ontario. He holds an Honours Bachelor of Science in Anthropology from the University of Toronto and has completed graduate coursework at Western University.
Chris also holds a Diploma in Heritage Carpentry and Joinery and a Certificate in Heritage Planning from Algonquin College, providing specialized knowledge in historical building materials, traditional construction techniques, and the preservation and salvage of heritage resources. He is a member of the Ontario Archaeological Society, the Council for Northeast Historical Archaeology, and a member in good standing with the Canadian Association of Heritage Professionals (CAHP).
Jamie Lemon
Project Manager
Master of Arts, Bachelor in Anthropology
Jamie Lemon is a Project Manager with Peninsula Heritage and oversees cultural heritage and archaeological projects across Ontario. With 18 years of experience in Cultural Resource Management, Jamie has supported projects within the mining, land development, transportation, aggregates, and energy sectors.
Jamie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from the University of Waterloo and a Master of Arts from Trent University, and maintains a professional archaeological licence with the Ontario Ministry of Citizenship and Multiculturalism. She regularly assists clients in navigating the life cycle of archaeological and cultural heritage assessments, providing guidance on applicable standards, regulations, and policies while helping projects move efficiently through approval processes.
